Welcome to MMM 2014, the 20th Anniversary International Conference on MultiMedia Modeling, in Dublin, Ireland, which takes place from the 8-10th January 2014. This year, VBS2014 will take place on the 7th January, immediately preceding the MMM welcome reception. We are also pleased to announce that the 1st edition of the WinterSchool on Multimedia Processing and Applications will be co-located with MMM2014 and will take place on the 6/7th January 2014.

There will be two main social events at MMM 2014, a welcome reception on the 7th January 2014 in a private opening of the Guinness Storehouse visitor centre and the conference banquet will take place on the evening of the 9th January at the wonderful Smock Alley Theatre (Dublin's oldest theatre).

MMM 2014 will be held at the conference centre inside the Guinness Storehouse, Irelands most popular tourist attraction. This is a unique and historical venue in the middle of Dublin city centre. We sincerely hope that the carefully crafted program that we will put together, the scientific discussions that the conference will hopefully stimulate, and your additional activities in Dublin and its surroundings, will make participation in MMM 2014 a valuable and a memorable experience.

Now in its 20th year, MMM is a leading international conference for researchers and industry practitioners for sharing new ideas, original research results and practical development experiences from all MMM related areas. The conference calls for research papers reporting original investigation results and demonstrations in all areas related to multimedia modeling technologies and applications. There are also five special sessions that focus on addressing new challenges for Multimedia.
